Join Pulitzer Prize-winning journalist Nikole Hannah-Jones and members of the Pulitzer Center education team as they explore a selection of essays in The 1619 Project, a groundbreaking edition of The New York Times Magazine that reexamines the legacy of enslavement in the United States and highlights the contributions of Black Americans to our democracy.

The Pulitzer Center is a journalism organization that raises awareness of underreported global issues through direct support for quality journalism across all media platforms and a unique program of education and public outreach.
